I have a “co-worker”/writer friend who did an amazing makeover in her laundry room. Yes. Her laundry room. As stay-at-home moms, laundry is a chore that causes angst, frustration, and at times, depression. Laundry is always on “the list”. ”What are you all up to today?” “Well, library, haircuts and laundry.” “I’ve got so much to do today, starting with the dang laundry.” ”You’ll never guess where I found my cell phone! In the laundry! Can you believe it?” (Yes. Yes I can.) “Date night? What did you and your husband do for date night?” “Dinner, movie and then finished* up the laundry.” Laundry. It’s always there.
So with all that time spent doing the laundry, the laundry room NEEDS to be a space that conveys happiness and peace to balance out the negative qi that laundry induces. My friend Veronica gets that!
